hi again,
yesterday i flew into Iquitos in Peru. Iquitos is near the end of the amazon river. the amazon is the second longest river in the world at 6820 kilometres long.Today i have been traveling around the amazon river seeing some of the many animals that live in the waters of the amazon and looking at some of the amazing plants found on the banks of the amazon. the plants on the banks of the amazon weren't very big, beacause every wet season the amazon river floods. the amazon river has more water running down it then any other river 
in the world. the amazon river is about 6-10 kilometres wide. many people fish in the amazon river for food, and some animals are becoming rare because of it. It was amazing looking at the river of the amazon and in the next couple of days I will be looking at the amazon rainforest.
