Antarctica

Hi,

I am now in Antarctica and I am freezing cold, well so is everything else. It is -50 degrees Celsius and pretty windy. there is noone that permanently lives here. The only vegetation on Antarctica is a little bit of grass. Did you know Antarctica is the worlds highest, driest, coldest and windiest continent of the world. Through the year Antarctica can receive from up to 24 hours of sunlight a day to none. about 900 people live on Antarctica in the winter and up to 3000 people stay there for the summer. it was terrible that many of the animals that live near to or on Antarctica have been hunted close to extinciton. I am happy that now we are trying to help protect the animals so they don't get extinct and so there ecosystem doesn't get destroyed and fall out of balance. I hope that antarctica remains how it is at the moment with no mines destroying the nature. I will soon be leaving Antarctica and heading to my next destination. hope you keep reading.
